King, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, LMHC, is an Associate Professor of Art Therapy at The George Washington University and Adjunct Associate Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine; Department of Neurology. Prof. King developed the inaugural graduate art therapy program at the IU Herron School of Art and recently edited and published a textbook: Art Therapy, Trauma and Neuroscience: Theoretical and Practical Perspectives.

Girija Kaimal

Dr. Girija Kaimal (EdD, MA, ATR-BC) is an Assistant Professor in the doctoral program in Creative Arts therapies at Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. She has a Bachelor's degree in design from the National Institute of Design in India; Master's degree in art therapy from Drexel University; and a doctorate in human development and psychology from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She also serves as the President of AATA and is an Assessment Fellow for Drexel University.

Christianne Strang

PhD, ATR-BC, CEDCAT-S

Dr. Christianne Strang PhD, ATR-BC, CEDCAT-S is an art therapist with more than 30 years of clinical art therapy experience and is past president of the American Art therapy Association. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in neurobiology, behavioral neuroscience, developmental neuroscience, and creative arts therapies. Her research is focused on how visual processing is affected in disease states such as Alzheimer’s and macular degeneration. She also provides art therapy services to individuals in treatment for anorexia and bulimia.
