NY-TE-276 - DICATS - Immersive and Media-Based Interactive Symposium

There is an ever growing need to connect creative minds, globally. More so during this pandemic. Immersive digital environments have been shown to increase presence, embodiment and engagement in live and pre-recorded experiences. DICATS is a global immersive (VR) symposium focusing on applications of digital media in art therapy and education across disciplines, first held live in 2019 across 5 global locations. This paper highlights our journey and findings, and outlines plans for the upcoming symposium in 2021.
