This panel provides an interactive dialogue facilitated by four credentialed professional art therapists, each who have unique experience understanding the value of “failures” in art therapy practice. They will illuminate their use of theoretical underpinnings to make meaning towards improved clinical practice.
Denise Wolf
Assistant Director, Cedar Crest College Art Therapy Program
Denise Wolf, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, ATCS is Assistant Director of the Art Therapy Programs at Cedar Crest College. She is a DBT Clinician as well as an art therapist, treating children and adolescents in her private practice. She provides clinical group supervision and workshops to Philadelphia school social workers.
Gretchen Miller
MA, LPAT, ATR-BC
Gretchen M. Miller, MA, LPAT, ATR-BC is a Registered Board Certified Licensed Professional Art Therapist in Northeast Ohio. Gretchen is also an art therapy educator, regional, national, and international speaker, workshop facilitator, supervisor, and community organizer. She is a past president of Ohio’s Buckeye Art Therapy Association, has served on the American Art Therapy Association’s Board of Directors, and is currently an associate editor of AATA’s Journal as a social media coordinator. Gretchen is the author of The Art Therapist’s Guide to Social Media: Connection, Community, and Creativity, has published several articles and chapters about technology use in art therapy, and regularly presents and teaches on the topic.
Sangeeta Prasad
Co-Founder, Circle Art Studio
Sangeeta Prasad, MA, ATR-BC, has over 30years of experience working as an art therapist with children and adults and is currently in private practice. She is the co-founder of Circle Art Studio, in Virginia, USA, and vice president of the Prasad Family Foundation. She has published two books, "Creative Expressions: Say it with Art" and "Using Art Therapy with Diverse Populations, Crossing Cultures, and Abilities." She founded the Indian Art Therapy Discussion Forum (IATDF) in 2015 and taught an online course at Women's Christian College, Chennai, India. She was a Director on the Board for the American Art Therapy Association from 2016 to 2018. Susan Ainlay Anand
Instructor, Art Therapist, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, University of Mississippi Medical Center
Susan Ainlay Anand, MA, ATR-BC, ATCS, LPAT, LMFT, is a graduate of New York University and has worked with children and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings since 1982. She served on faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center from 1987-2025 and is a faculty member and supervisor in the MFA in Art Therapy Program, School of Fine Arts, MIT-ADT University in Pune, India. Susan facilitates art therapy groups at the Mississippi Museum of Art (https://www.msmuseumart.org) in Jackson, including The Creative Healing Studio, Art in Mind I and II, and the Art Thrive Collective. She has presented and published accounts of her work in journals and books and authored and co-edited the book The Legacy of Edith Kramer: A Multifaceted View. Susan has served as a board member and treasurer for the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB) and as a member of committees and the Board of Directors for the American Art Therapy Association (AATA). She frequently volunteers for community projects that use art-making for healing and wellness and has conducted workshops or presented at conferences across the U.S. and other countries.
