This panel provides an interactive dialogue facilitated by four credentialed professional art therapists, each who have unique experience understanding the value of “failures” in art therapy practice. They will illuminate their use of theoretical underpinnings to make meaning towards improved clinical practice.

Denise Wolf
Assistant Director, Cedar Crest College Art Therapy Program
Denise Wolf, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, ATCS is Assistant Director of the Art Therapy Programs at Cedar Crest College. She is a DBT Clinician as well as an art therapist, treating children and adolescents in her private practice. She provides clinical group supervision and workshops to Philadelphia school social workers.

Gretchen Miller
ATR-BC, ACTP
Gretchen M. Miller, ATR-BC, ACTP is a Northeast Ohio Registered Board Certified Art Therapist and Advanced Certified Trauma Practitioner. Her art therapy clinical work has included serving youth and adults impacted by trauma and loss. Gretchen is also an art therapy educator, regional, national, and international speaker, author, supervisor, and community organizer. Recently, Gretchen co-edited The Art and Art Therapy of Papermaking: Material, Methods, and Applications published by Routledge in 2023.

Sangeeta Prasad
Co-Founder, Circle Art Studio
Sangeeta Prasad, MA, ATR-BC, has over 30years of experience working as an art therapist with children and adults and is currently in private practice. She is the co-founder of Circle Art Studio, in Virginia, USA, and vice president of the Prasad Family Foundation. She has published two books, "Creative Expressions: Say it with Art" and "Using Art Therapy with Diverse Populations, Crossing Cultures, and Abilities." She founded the Indian Art Therapy Discussion Forum (IATDF) in 2015 and taught an online course at Women's Christian College, Chennai, India. She was a Director on the Board for the American Art Therapy Association from 2016 to 2018. Susan Ainlay Anand
Instructor, Art Therapist, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, University of Mississippi Medical Center
Susan Ainlay Anand, MA, ATR-BC, ATCS, LPAT is a graduate of the New York University art therapy program, and has worked with children and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings since 1983. She is a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she provides clinical services, and teaches/supervises psychiatry residents and medical students. Her clinical interests include art therapy with medically ill patients having worked extensively with cancer patients. She has published journal articles, book chapters and is co-editor of The Legacy of Edith Kramer: A Multifaceted View (Routledge, 2018). Susan provides workshops and training both in the US and abroad.
In 2019, Susan was elected to the American Art Therapy Association’s Board of Directors. She has also served on numerous committees of the Association. Her involvement with the Governmental Affairs Committee led her to work towards professional licensure for art therapists in Mississippi, which was achieved in 2000. She was a board member and the treasurer of the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB), and currently serves as a member of the Advisory Council of the Division of Professional Licensure with the Mississippi Department of Health.
