Marlie Krickus

Art Therapist

Gemma Services

Marlie Krickus, MA, ATR-BC, LPC is passionate about helping individuals overcome, build self confidence, and live authentically. Marlie is currently the art therapist for Gemma Services (formerly theVillage), a residential facility in the Philadelphia area serving teens with extensive trauma experiences. The resilience, grit, humility, humor, and vulnerability that individuals bring to their treatment inspires Marlie to practice non judgmental, equitable art therapy. Marlie has cultivated a trauma informed practice of personal and individual accountability and acceptance, and challenges all who enter the art studio to create without boundaries or judgement, and to use humor and fun whenever appropriate. Social and physical environments have always held Marlie's interest, and she is consistently reflecting on how they may impact mental and behavioral health and inform treatment.
