Join AATA on Thursday, April 21 (7 PM EDT) for our next All Member Meeting, as we share the organization's ongoing work, as well as give members a chance to ask questions and share feedback.
We will review upcoming events, such as the Journey to the Profession Webinar Series, the No Surprises Act Webinar, and our annual 2022 Conference.
We'll also speak with Tyler Kirby, Advocacy and Public Affairs Manager at AATA, on the landscape of licensure, what’s coming ahead in opportunities and challenges and how members can get involved. We hope to see you there!

Dr. Girija Kaimal

Dr. Girija Kaimal (EdD, MA, ATR-BC) is an Assistant Professor in the doctoral program in Creative Arts therapies at Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. She has a Bachelor's degree in design from the National Institute of Design in India; Master's degree in art therapy from Drexel University; and a doctorate in human development and psychology from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She also serves as the President of AATA and is an Assessment Fellow for Drexel University.

Tyler Kirby, Advocacy & Public Affairs Manager at the American Art Therapy Association, supports state chapters in their advocacy efforts by offering expertise in drafting legislation and advocacy strategy. Tyler is a graduate of Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy with a Master’s of Public Policy with a particular focus on state level healthcare advocacy and submitted a thesis concerning systemic inequities throughout the Veterans Health Administration system.
