Description:

This presentation describes the results of an art-based
program evaluation with artists labeled/with
intellectual and developmental disabilities in studio

their studio today and what they want for the future of
their studio. Findings have implications for future
therapeutic practice in studios.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
1) â Describe three key components of the arts-based appreciative inquiry approach used to engage artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in program evaluation.
2) Summarize at least three findings regarding what artists with IDD value in their studio communities and the priorities they identified for the future development of studio programming.
3) Identify two benefits and one limitation of using arts-based appreciative inquiry in program evaluation with artists with IDD.
